Divine intervention
I was finalizing the last chapter of The MYOFBook, when I received a Whatsapp from the man who saved my life in the Dominican Republic.
In the book, I tell the story of when I got pulled over in 2008 by crooked cops in Sosua. I did not speak Spanish but I understood they wanted money. Somehow I convinced them to let me make a phone call.
I called Mr. James Jones, who was the director of the Hotel I had just checked out of. A soon as the ''police'' saw his car pull up, they acted as if they we're simply making sure my rental car was'nt stolen...and I had ''missunderstood'' their good intentions...
Needless to say, I'm still here and I made a friend for life.
